Upon Kodi Swamigal's divine order to undertake the responsibility of serving annaprasadham for the Kumbaabhishekam, Mrs Bama Balaji offered to take the responsibility of serving annaprasadham, When the temple committee of Nedumaram invited the members of the trust for the kumbabhishekam. Serving annaprasadham is the divine order given to Mrs. Bama Balaji by Kodi Swamigal and it was the obvious choice to offer for a temple function.

Kodi Swamigal instructed the members of the trust to wear the pink colour which they had worn during the 23rd year of Kadal Poojai at Dhanushkodi.
