Goshala (The Sacred Cow Shed)

Koovathur, Chengalpet District.
'matrah sarva bhutanam, gavah sarv sukh prada'
"The cow, being the mother of all living entities, gives every kind of happiness to all."
In this part of the land, cows are considered holy. They are not just an animal that provides milk and manure. Cows are as important as the mother in the family. Wherever there is a cow, an abundance of happiness flows. The heavens, too, shower their choicest blessings on the place.
Our trust established the first goshala for Kodi Swamigal.
With the blessings of Kodi Thatha, our trust has established a goshala at Nedumaram village, Chengalpattu District. For the past six months, as per Kodi thatha's instructions, devotees have been visiting the goshala, performing gho-pooja, offering annadhanam, and involving in maintenance activities of the goshala.
Every Saturday, annaprasadham is prepared at the Tabovanam temple in Perungudi. Volunteers then take the prasadham and travel to the village to offer it to Kodi thatha at the goshala and the villagers.
