Mrs. Bama Balaji registered the Trust in Pollachi on June 13, 2018, as per Kodi Swamigal’s instructions. She and another devotee then prepared to start from Puravipalayam, when a twist of fate unfolded. Kodi Swamigal descended on an individual through Para-kaya-pravesam and asked them to meet Babu Sadhu at a nearby place called Perumal Swamy Karadu (hillock).
Babu Sadhu and his disciples had previously visited Puravipalayam and participated in preparing Annadhanam during Guru Pooja. Smt. Bama Balaji went in search of Babu Sadhu and, as instructed, narrated the chain of events leading to the task that Kodi Swamigal has entrusted her with. She also clarified her motive for pursuing the Zamin family in Puravipalayam, countering the rumours that had been spread in society.
After listening intently, Babu Sadhu summoned Smt. Bama Balaji to Thiruvannamalai, a place known for its spiritual significance. Meanwhile, Smt. Bama Balaji kept receiving messages on her phone about the idol-unveiling ceremony of Kodi Swamigal at Thiruvannamalai.
Babu Sadhu was not at his ashram when Bama Balaji reached there, so she stayed there overnight upon his request. He arrived the next day and agreed to accompany her to the idol-unveiling ceremony.
It was a Pournami (full moon), and upon reaching the venue, Bama Balaji found that the organisers had only made light breakfast arrangements for the visitors. Bama Balaji’s prime motive was Annadhanam, as advised by Kodi Swamigal. She consulted Babu Sadhu and ensured that raw materials, vessels and space were made available for cooking. Bama Balaji and her friend then quickly prepared Annaprasadham and ensured it was ready before the function was over, emphasising the importance of this spiritual practice on their journey.
After serving Annaprasadham to everyone there, Bama Balaji proceeded to do girivalam (a spiritual practice of circumambulating the holy Arunachala hill) and returned early the next morning. Deeply satisfied with the turn of events, she decided to head to Chennai. When you fully surrender to the Guru, his grace propels you forward. Babu Sadhu met her early the next morning and invited her to visit a nearby place before she left. Together, they reached a building, and Babu Sadhu asked Bama Balaji for her opinion on the place.
The Trust had already initiated Annadhanam in two locations where Bama Balaji could not be physically present to manage things. Adding the pressure of starting Annadhanam at a third location did not seem like a wise decision, especially since she was scheduled to leave for America in the next ten days.
They met a few more people and before she could come to terms with what was happening Babu Sadhu suddenly collected the keys and handed them over to Bama Balaji, requesting that she hand over Rs 500 as an advance.
Bama Balaji turned to the person beside her to see if there was any divine signal. Kodi Swamigal momentarily descended on the body and nodded in agreement. Looking no further, Bama Balaji collected the keys.
The Annadhanam that commenced at Thiruvannamalai on June 28, 2018, with Kodi Swamigal’s blessings continues to this day. The trust’s Annadhanam centre is near Varuna Lingam on the Girivalam path.
