ZAMIN Puravipalayam, Pollachi
The Palace, the terrace & the mystic

தனுஷ்கோடியில் நின்று தவம் புரிந்த துறவியே!

பாளையம் வந்து அமர்ந்த பொன்முடி புரவியே!

உன்னால் பாளையம், ஆனது ஆலயம்!

The Zamin
Puravi means horse, and Palayam represents a fortified district or a camp. The Palace, built more than 300 yrs ago, is the ancestral house of the Gopanna Mandradiars. They were the paalayakaarars (custodians) for Nayaks of Madurai and Zamindars during the British period.

A flourishing zamin before 1958. The last crowned prince of this Zamin was Vetrivel Gopanna Mandradiyar. He died in 1996.

The Abode of Kodi
He came to Puravipalayam in circa 1965 and entered the house of the Zamindar (landlord). He went upstairs and chose to stay there. He remained there and never came down till He shed his physical body. The palace terrace became the abode of the wandering mystic for over 3o years. The quaint village town and the palace were never the same, once Swamigal came.
Oct 11, 1994 - Swamigal siddhi day
On a Tuesday afternoon in 1994, Kodi Swamigal attained siddhi by shedding his physical body. The loving thatha of puravipalayam decided to move into another dimension as every Siddha Purusha would do.

As mere mortals, we connect with the physical premise and experience the presence of supreme beings through our five senses. However, one can experience the presence of elevated souls like Kodi thatha beyond the physical realm if we open the doors of our limitations.

Kodi thatha is one such medium, a guide who willingly guides humanity. He is one of the purest manifestations of supreme power, full of love and compassion, available for every soul on the planet.
Puravipalayam Temple
It all began here for our trust. On one visit to the Jeeva Samadhi of the Swami, Our managing trustee, Mrs Bama Balaji, had the divine calling from the Swami himself - 'Start Annandhanam here at Puravipalayam'.

Not knowing where to start, Only with the immense guru bhakti, she decides to begin the work and approaches the people at the Puravipalayam Palace. With no support coming from the palace side and not wanting to wait further, she purchases land in the adjacent street to the Jeeva Samadhi, with only 30 days to finish the construction and start annadhanam on the day as instructed by Kodi Swamigal.

Guru walks with you when you hold their hand. With the blessings of Kodi Swamigal, The annadhanam centre finished on time, and
the annadhanam commenced on the said date by Kodi Swamigal. Over 1000 people gathered for the special event, and with the divine interference, to the date, annadhanam happens effortlessly.
