Kodi Swamigal's Chennai visit
From June 30, 1961, to January 10, 1962, Kodi Swamigal stayed at Ekambaram’s house in Ekambaram’s house, a 200-year-old bungalow with well-furnished rooms.
Ekambaram was a devoted follower of Kodi Swamigal. He showed unwavering dedication and respect, always listening attentively to Swamigal’s teachings without question.
During his stay at Ekambaram's bungalow, Kodi Swamigal gave a glimpse of his divine presence through various instances. During his stay in Chennai, Kodi Swamigal visited many places upon requests from visitors to Ekambaram's house.
Upon arriving at Ekambaram's bungalow, Kodi Swamigal chose to stay in at room dedicated to pregnant ladies and child delivery. The opulently decorated room for his stay was not in the scheme of things for Kodi Swamigal. He hopped on two closely put benches in the room and made himself comfortable, much to the surprise of the family members.

From Triplicane to Tondiarpet - A devotee's love for feeding the divine
Subburatina Mudaliar, a devout follower of Kodi Swamigal, deeply admired him. He was the first to distribute block-printed copies of Kodi Swamigal’s photos. Every day, Mudaliar would travel from Triplicane to Tondiarpet on bus no. 1. He carried a tin-coated tiffin box filled with rasam rice to feed Kodi Swamigal. His devotion knew no bounds.

After 6 months of stay in Chennai, Kodi Swamigal one day said he would like to go to Coimbatore and stay with Jegadambigai, sister of Ekambaram, who visited Chennai frequently to have darshan of Kodi Swamigal.
