Kodi Swamigal's Coimbatore visit
Kodi Swamigal finally arrived to Coimbatore before proceeding to his final destination - Puravipalayam
Arrival in Coimbatore
In January 1961, Kodi Swamigal arrived in Coimbatore. He visited Arunachalam and Jagadambika (sister of Ekambaram) at their house opposite Nirmala College on Appuswamy Road.

During his stay at Jagadambika's house. Kodi Swamigal resided on the top floor of the house. Once, Ambigainathan and Ekambaram went to see Kodi Swamigal when he stayed at Jagadambika’s house in Coimbatore, but they couldn’t find him. They searched everywhere and eventually found him sitting deep in meditation inside a water tank.

It was a hot summer afternoon, but Kodi Swamigal wasn’t bothered by the heat. He walked out of the tank calmly, surprising Ekambaram and Ambigainathan, who were puzzled by his behaviour.

The visit of Neikarapatti Zamindar
The Neikarapatti Zamindar was the neighbour of Jagadambika, Ekambaram's sister.. When the Zamindar heard about a saint staying at their house, he came to seek his blessings. When he met Kodi Swamigal in person, he requested that he visit his house at Race Course Road, Coimbatore. Kodi Swamigal readily agreed.
