Kodi Swamigal's divine instructions for this year Guru poojai

Every act carried out by our trust is directed by the divine presence of Kodi Swamigal. Kodi Swamigal himself gives the What, When, Where, and How of every function. Every year, Guru Poojai's key components are said well in advance, and we strive to implement them.

Mulaipaari Procession

2020 Guru Poojai was the first year Kodi Swamigal instructed us to take the mulaipaari procession for Guru Poojai. 27 mulaipaaris was the count given. The team carefully sowed the seeds and the entire duration of bringing that mulaipaaris involved dedicated monitoring and ensuring the sprouting was in the right shape and structure. The 27 is the calculation of several Tamil Stars in which everyone is born.

Colour-coded dress

With the 26th year of Guru Poojai, Kodi Swamigal instructed the core team of participants in Mulaipaari and guru pooja activities to wear a specific colour to be in sync with the cosmic energy. All the women were asked to wear a clear sky-blue saree and men were asked to wear a midnight blue dhoti. From 2020 onwards, for every function, Kodi Swamigal chose the colour of the attire for every event.

Invoking the presence of Siddhars

The ensemble of Tamil Siddhars - Agastiyar, Bhogar, Korakkar, Sivavaakiyar, Machamuni, Konganar, Pambatti Siddhar & Thirumoolar were invoked for their presence, to be part of this Guru Poojai for Kodi Swamigal. Each Kalasam represented a Siddhar. The Special Abhishekam included the water kept in each kalasam and was offered to Kodi Swamigal sila rupam. These siddhars are called upon during Guru Poojai as a mark of respect, as we mortals cannot do certain rituals needed for siddha purushas.
